The Last Airbender (2010)

Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. A hundred years passed and my brother and I discovered the new Avatar, an airbender named Aang. And although his airbending skills are great, he still has a lot to learn before he’s ready to save anyone. But I believe Aang can save the world…"

Was the quoted above familiar? That’s right, it’s Katara’s introduction to every episode of the cartoon series, "Avatar: The Last Airbender." But I am not going to talk about the series here. I will tell you what’s up with Aang and his gang and it is none other than their upcoming movie, "The Last Airbender."

 The trailer was good. But as you’re going to watch some other trailers in Youtube, or this for instance:

You can see that some characters don’t really look seemingly the same as of those in the cartoon series. I mean, Aang and Zuko looks fitting for the role, but what about people like Sokka and Katara? Aren’t they supposed to be…uhmm…tanner? Plus, the movie is under the direction of M. Night Shyamalan, whose last movies suffered a huge downfall.

But nonetheless I am watching the movie. I will just save my opinion until then. Let’s just hope for the best.
